King Oyster Mushroom

The King Oyster Mushroom aka Trumpet Mushroom is a seasonal mushroom for us, growing in the cooler months of October-April. They have a very meaty texture and a mild mushroom flavor. They hold up extremely well to stewing, soups, grilling, baking, etc. They have an excellent texture and can even be dehydrated into mushroom jerky or "bacon". A great meat substitute. They also keep quite well in the refrigerator....up to 14 days.
